Intro

This is a one owner 2001 BMW 540i that has been in the same family its entire life. It is Titanium Silver Metallic over Grey Montana Leather and shows 129,000 miles. It has the 4.4-liter, 32-valve V8 engine mated to a 5-speed Steptronic automatic transmission. It comes with service records since new. There is a damage report on the Carfax from a tree branch falling on the car. It has a clear title and is in Virginia.

Exterior

The exterior color is Titanium Silver metallic with a power operated sunroof and chrome trim. It has 16-inch "Style 36" 20-spoke wheels. It has fog lights, and xenon headlights. In August 2025 it received new rear brakes and rotors, new rear tires, and new left rear ball joint. The front tires were replaced Aug 2024 and front brakes and rotors replaced in July 2023 (<25k miles). It has new left and right splash shields

Interior

The interior is upholstered in grey Montana leather with dark wood accent trim, and the original 5-CD changer is in the trunk. The dashboard pixels are faded and hard to read. The cabin air filters were replaced in Dec 2023. It has a full-sized spare (snow tire).

Mechanicals

This 540i has the 4.4-liter V8 engine factory rated 290 horsepower mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission. It completed an Oil & filter change in Feb 2025, new radiator, front arm bushings, and timing belt replaced in Apr 2024. New battery, gas cap, and engine air filter replaced in Jul 2025 and new spark plugs in Dec 2023.
