Cool Collections

Do I need to own a collector or enthusiast vehicle to Sign Up?
No. Sign up to comment, rate, spectate and like vehicles.
Is there a fee to create a collection?
No, there is no fee to create a collection and add one or more vehicles.
Can I keep my collection location and my name private?
Yes, You display a nickname and your vehicle location is private.
Is there a limit to the number of photos I can upload per vehicle?
Yes, for collections it is a maximum of 12 photos plus one video per vehicle.
How long does my collection stay active?
There is no time limit, and you can edit your collection page anytime with your own dashboard
Can I just create a collection and not list for sale?
Yes. After you create your collection, selling your vehicle is optional.

Selling A Vehicle

How long does a listing last?
The auction period is seven consecutive (7) days holidays included.
The general listing is active until cancelled or vehicle is sold.
What is the vehicle reserve or Buy Now price?
The reserve price is the minimum bid the Seller will accept for their vehicle. The Seller determines their vehicle reserve or Buy Now price and starting bid.
How does the auction work if the vehicle reserve IS met?
The vehicle is sold to the highest Bid.
How does the auction work if the vehicle reserve IS NOT met?
Buyers can make offers or Buy Now
How does the Buyer know the vehicle or Item is honestly represented?
Collector Chassis completes a VIN, title check, and Carfax (1981 and newer). Please note that we are not responsible for incorrect information given by Buyers and Sellers, including information regarding vehicles, including but not limited to vehicle mileage, condition, history, or photos of vehicles.
Buyer is responsible for scheduling pre purchase inspections and test drives. Collector Chassis provides private email and private chat between Buyer and Seller.
If I am outside of the U.S. can I auction my vehicle and bid on auctions?
Yes, we welcome Buyers outside of the U.S.

Seller Questions

What are my steps to create a listing?
1) Submit your vehicle.
2) Choose Auction or General Listing
3) Complete your listing.
4) Please allow 7 days for us to review and approve your listing .
4) If approved, your listing goes live on the 8th day or date when you are ready.

When will my listing go live?
You determine your listing start date. Please allow for the 7-day review period before your listing starts.
What are the Seller restrictions?
The Seller Auction and General Listing must be exclusive to Collector Chassis.
The Seller cannot Auction the same vehicle on competing sites at the same time.

What are the Seller responsibilities?
Respond to comments and follow through with the sale of your vehicle. The Seller’s failure to follow this strict policy may ban them from participation in any future Collector Chassis auctions.
What are the Seller fees?
There is no Listing fee. It is free to consign and sell your vehicle.
What happens if my vehicle does not sell during the Auction?
Your vehicle will stay on your collection with the auction history. You get a second chance to continue to sell your vehicle with buyers making offers or buy now.
What happens after I accept the winning bid or offer?
Congratulations! We will send you a notification to contact the winning Buyer through the Collector Chassis private chat and email to complete the vehicle sale.
Can I cancel my auction?
No. Once your auction goes live you cannot cancel it. You must complete the transaction if vehicle reserve is met.
Can I edit my live auction?
No. you must email: team@collectorchassis.com to request changes.
How does General Listing work?
You set your Buy Now price and buyers make offers or Buy Now. If an offer is close to your Buy Now price you can email team@collectorchassis.com to lower your Buy Now price.

Buying A Vehicle

How Can I become a Buyer?
Create an Account. Check “I want the ability to bid on auctions” and enter your credit card information. Then join the bidding, make offer or Buy Now.
What is the Buyer fee?
The Buyer fee is 5% for Reserve Auctions and 3% for General Listings up to a maximum $4500.
Can you please provide an example of how the Buyer fee is calculated?
For Auctions we will place a hold on the buyer's credit card for 5% of their initial bid.For General Listings and Buy Now we will place a hold on the buyer’s credit card for 3% of their initial offer. If the vehicle is sold, the hold for an Auction will become a charge of 5% of the buyers winning bid or 3% of the buyers Buy Now price. If it is not the winning bid or offer the hold will be removed on the card.
Can you please provide an example how the Buyer fee works for an Auction?
The Buyers first bid is $50,000. Collector Chassis will place a hold of $2,500 ($50,000 x 5%) on the Buyer’s credit card on file for their first bid only. If the winning bid is $55,000 their credit card will be charged $2,750 ($55,000 x 5%). If it is not the winning bid,the hold will be removed on the card on file.
Can you please provide an example how the Buyer fee works for General Listing or Buy Now?
The Buyers first offer is $50,000. Collector Chassis will place a hold of $1,500 ($50,000 x 3%) on the Buyer’s credit card on file for their first offer only. If Buyer accepts Buy Now of $55,000 their credit card will be charged $1,650 ($55,000 x 3%). If the Buyer does not accept Buy Now price, the hold will be removed on the card on file. Seller can reduce Buy Now price at any time.
What other Buyer fees are there?
The winning Buyer is responsible for understanding all applicable state taxes, license fees, transportation fees, import fees, vehicle inspections and other fees. These additional fees are not charged by Collector Chassis.
What are the Buyer responsibilities?
A Buyer must follow through with their winning bid or offer and complete their purchase of the Vehicle or Item. The Buyer’s failure to follow this strict policy will ban them from participation in any future Collector Chassis Auctions or General Listings. There are no refunds of the 5% fee of your winning bid or offer so please bid responsibly and have fun!
Can I cancel my Bid, offer, or Buy Now?
No. Your bid, offer or Buy Now cannot be canceled. Please make sure before you bid, make offer, or Buy Now that you can follow through with the purchase of the vehicle.
What happens if I am the winning Buyer?
Congratulations! We will send you a notification to contact the Seller through the Collector Chassis private chat and email to complete the vehicle sale
