Intro

This is a BMW 2002 M3 Coupe with 109,00 miles in Carbon Black over Cinnamon with the S54 inline 6-cylinder engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. The seller purchased it on Cars and Bids 1 year ago and added 7,000 miles. It has the Premium Package, Harman-Kardon Sound System, Park Distance Control, Bi-Xenon Headlights, and Cold Weather Package. It does have Dinan suspension modifications and the Big 3 defined as rod bearings, subframe and Vanos were all completed. The Carfax shows 3 incidents prior to current ownership, it has a clear title and is in Missouri.

Exterior

The exterior color of this M3 is Carbon Black with Shadowline trim, fog lights, chrome kidney grilles, fender vents, clear side markers, a glass sunroof, a trunk lid spoiler, and quad exhaust tips extending out the rear. It has the Dinan Stage 1 suspension kit. It has the factory 18″ M double-spoke Style 67 wheels wrapped in new Continental Control Contact Sport SRS+ tires 225/45 front and 255/40 rear. The rear trailing arm bushings were replaced in 2024 along with transmission guibo, front brake hose replaced and brake fluid flush. In 2023 the differential fluid was changed, along with differential cover and seals, and transmission fluid changed. 

Interior

The heated and power-adjustable front sport seats and door-panel inserts are upholstered in Cinnamon Nappa leather with brushed aluminum shadow trim accents. It has power front seat lumbar adjustments, cruise control, climate control and a Harman Kardon audio with working OEM 6-disk CD changer in the trunk. The factory toolkit located in the trunk is complete.

Mechanicals

This M3 has the highly acclaimed 3.2-liter S54 inline-six factory rated at 333 horsepower and 262 lb.-ft of torque. It has had a valve adjustment performed, new oil cooler seal, VVT filter, valve cover gaskets and seals, new spark plugs, and engine oil and filter.

Summary

The rod bearings were replaced under warranty in Nov 2004 and a July 2024 oil analysis shows no concerns. The subframe was reinforced in Nov 2016 and VANOS was serviced in Dec 2023. The only modification from stock is the Dinan Stage 1 suspension upgrade. The kit includes struts and shocks and coils for the front and rear.
