2014 Porsche Cayman S (981), White (paint code 0Q) over black interior, 7-speed PDK, 18,540 miles, offered by a seller the BMW CCA National President Emeritus and creator of the Legends of the Autobahn concours. The 981 Cayman S represents the last of the naturally aspirated 3.4-liter flat-six Caymans before Porsche moved to turbocharged four-cylinders. This car is completely stock and optioned with Standard Leather Interior, Sport Chrono Package Sport and Sport Plus, 7-speed Porsche PDK, Sport Seats Plus, Sport Design Steering wheel and Carrera platinum 20” satin wheels. The seller has owned it approximately 2.5 years, keeping it in a clean, dry California environment, covered, on a battery tender, and exercised periodically in fair weather only. Exterior

The car is finished in factory White (0Q) and presents with an as-new finish. The seller reports no dings or dents and states the paint is original throughout. All body panels are described as perfect, retaining their factory VIN tags where applicable, with consistent panel fit and body lines. It wears the optional factory Porsche Carrera wheels in Dark Platinum mounted with the OEM Michelin Pilot Sport tires, which the seller notes have very few miles on them.

Interior

The interior is upholstered in black Standard leather interior with Sport seats and Sport Chrono Package. It has the Porsche Sport steering wheel with PDK shift paddles, wrapped in leather. Seller states all controls are present and functional.

Mechanicals

The 981 Cayman S is powered by a mid-mounted 3.4-liter naturally aspirated flat six producing 325 horsepower at 7,400 rpm and 272 lb-ft of torque mated to a 7-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission driving the rear wheels. Factory rated 0–60 mph in the mid-four-second range. Maintenance during the seller's ownership, though minimal given the low mileage, has been performed by a well-known Bosch-trained mechanic in California with over 50 years of experience and familiarity with the Cayman platform. Recent service includes a PDK transmission check, differential check, and oil service.

This mature seller has owned the car for approximately 2.5 years and maintained it during that time. Although I am a Chief Instructor for HPDE, this Cayman S was not used on track while helping with events. The car is kept in a clean, dry California environment, maintained, covered, on a battery tender with a Porsche-labeled battery, and run periodically for fun and maintenance, but only in fair weather. I now own three Porsche models and three BMW models, and this car was meant to be the long-term keeper.
