The E89 Z4 paired a retractable aluminum hardtop with the N54 twin-turbo inline six. The 35i manual is the enthusiast's pick over the dual-clutch automatic. Exterior

The two-piece power-folding aluminum hardtop gives the E89 coupe-like security and refinement with the top up and full roadster character with it down. The car rides on new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S performance tires (Front 225/40/18, Rear 255/35/18). Hardtop works well with no issues as shown in video. Seller states there are no significant stone chips or paint damage.

Interior

The cabin is trimmed in Canyon Brown leather with M Sport appointments. All seat features, audio, all gauges and accessories work.

Mechanicals

The sDrive35i is powered by the N54 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline six, factory rated 300 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. The seller had BMW dealer-installed Dinan Stage 3 package with software, upgraded intercooler, and high-capacity oil cooler, plus an Eisenmann stainless-steel exhaust. Dinan's dealer-installed path was engineered as a complete system rather than piecemeal tuning. The Dinan modifications increase performance to 400 Hp and 426 ft-lbs torque. The service is up to date, fuel injectors have been replaced, oil change and brake flush (time interval (2 yrs), and the seller reports the car drives beautifully with smooth, strong power and a fantastic exhaust note. Imperfections

The Carfax reports a minor rear-bumper incident during the original owner's ownership. The repair was completed before the current owner purchased the car in 2015; the original $1,200 repair receipt is included in the documentation. Minor normal wear on leather seat bolster in a few spots.

I purchased the car in 2015 from the original owner, a U.S. Air Force Pave Low helicopter pilot who was relocating to Germany. It has been garage stored and never winter driven.
