The seller has owned this car since 2010 and is believed to be the third owner. The seller states no known accidents, it has never seen snow and comes with a clean title in hand. The seller describes it as excellent condition inside, out, and underneath, and is selling only because garage space is needed for other vehicles. Seller notes the car has an intermittent check-engine light reading a catalytic converter fault code; The car is in Minnesota.
Exterior
The exterior is Jet Black with a black soft convertible top. The E46 M3 features flared bodywork, power dome hood, and chrome quad exhaust. The front bumper was replaced with a new OEM unit after a previous owner's front lip left mounting holes in the original; the rear bumper is the original OEM part, repainted after a rear diffuser was removed to return the car to stock appearance. The seller updated the lighting with angel-eye headlights and smoked LED front signals, side markers, and rear signals. The car rides on 2003-style OEM 19-inch M3 wheels in place of the original 18” s wrapped in General GMax tires 225/40 ZR 19 front and 255/35 R19 rear.
Interior
The interior is upholstered in Black Nappa Leather with black accent trim. All gauges work and there are no dead pixels in the dash. Seller notes driver side bolster is coming apart at the seam. There is a custom amplifier and subwoofer system in the trunk.
Mechanicals
This M3 has the S54B32 3.2-liter DOHC 24-valve inline six with individual throttle bodies and double VANOS, producing 333 horsepower at 7,900 rpm and 262 lb-ft of torque at 4,900 rpm, with an 8,000 rpm redline mated to a Getrag 6-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Seller states an intermittent check-engine light shows a catalytic converter efficiency fault; mechanics have inspected the car and found no signs of an actual catalyst problem, and the seller suspects aging O2 sensors. The rod bearings, Vanos and cooling system are original.
Seller Comments
Beautiful condition, well taken care of since I bought it in 2010. The car is pretty much stock with some minor lighting upgrades to improve the look, and the trunk has a custom amp and subwoofer system. The car has never seen snow. It has 2003 OEM 19-inch M3 wheels rather than the 18-inch wheels it came with, for an enhanced look: I'm selling because I'm running out of garage space.
