Intro

1998 BMW 323iC Dinan 3 in Alpine White with a black soft top over Sand Beige Leatherette interior. This one owner car was purchased new from Peake BMW Kenner, Louisiana and has been in a southern climate its entire life. The BMW dealer installed the Dinan strut brace, Dinan/Koni adjustable suspension, Dinan cold air intake, Dinan stage 3 performance chip, and Dinan throttle body. It is optioned with the Sport Package that included 16” BBS cross-spoke alloy wheels and 225/50/16 ZR tires and fog lights. It has the 2.5 Liter six-cylinder engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and shows 76,200 miles. Included are complete BMW dealer only service records from date of purchase in December 1997. It as a clean Carfax with no reported incidents, a clear title and is in Alabama.

Exterior

The exterior is painted in Alpine White with a black manually operated convertible soft top with a recent factory zip-in rear window replacement. It has halogen low beam head lights and heated outside mirrors. It rides on factory M3 10 double spoke 7x17 front and 8x17 rear rims with 225/45/17 front and 245/40/17 rear Continental Extreme Contact Sports date coded 3721. The 16” BBS cross-spoke alloy wheels and 225/50/16 ZR tires are included in the sale. It has a Dinan 3 badge on the trunk lid in lieu of the original 323iC factory badging. Seller states the paint is all original with no resprayed panels. There are paint depth photos included in the listing. It has four wheel ventilated anti-lock disc brakes and a four-wheel independent suspension.

Interior

The interior is upholstered in Sand Beige Leatherette with six-way adjustable front seats, leather wrapped steering wheel and gearshift knob. It has digital automatic climate control with left and right temperature controls, one-touch defrost front and rear and micro filtered ventilation. It has an electronic anti-theft AM/FM stereo cassette radio (CD Ready) with Weather Band, factory installed alarm system, Dolby B&C and 10 speakers. It has power windows and central locking system.

Mechanicals

It has the 2.5 Liter six-cylinder engine factory rated 168 horsepower and 181 lb.-ft of torque mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. It accelerates from 0-60 mph in 7.3 seconds. Dinan performance modifications increase both the horsepower and torque output to unspecified levels. The seller recently completed an oil service and replaced valve cover gaskets.

Imperfections:

Factory clear coat on driver and passenger rocker panels shows some yellowing

Front bumper cover has some road rash

Driver and passenger door cards need the leatherette re-glued at the door bottom

Exterior temperature and time gauges are inoperative

It includes all service records, factory manuals, two key fobs and original window sticker showing an original suggested retail price of $36,020. This is a rust-free car always located in southern Louisiana and Alabama and garaged since new.
