Intro

This is a 1988 BMW 735i project car in black with black interior. It has the 3.5 Liter inline 6-cylinder engine mated to a factory installed 5-speed manual transmission. One of only 1,000-1,500 imported to the U.S. for the 1988 model year. The seller bought the car almost 10 years ago as a project and spent years restoring various components, mainly mechanical.  It has BBS RS021s Wheels wrapped in Raptor tires. It has a clean Carfax with no reported incidents and clear title and is in Ohio. The seller has also kept a file for parts/service. 

Exterior

The exterior is painted in black with power operated sunroof. The wheels are BBS RS021s. Seller states the passenger side rear wheel rim has a slight crack but does not lose tire pressure. The driver side door is damaged from the previous owner. There is rust along the doors, driver side rear wheel arch, passenger side front fender, trunk and jack areas.  The exterior paint has scratches and blemishes throughout. There is a slight crack on the rear bumper near the exhaust.

Interior

The interior is upholstered in black leather. The driver seat has worn through the leather on the bolster and the covering on the back of the seat is loose. The passenger seat electronics are faulty, the airbag light is on, the automatic fan, either the temperature sensor or ballast resistor is fault, so seller uses the air conditioning button on the dash to engage the fan. The C-Pillar trim will come with the car but is not installed due to some broken clips. The headliner is sagging.

Mechanicals

This 735i has the 3.5-liter, inline-six-cylinder engine factory rated 208 horsepower at 5700 rpm and 225 lb-ft of torque at 4000 rpm. The engine code is M30 B35 4. Seller states some oil on the bottom of the engine but rarely drips on the ground.
