This BMW series E39 (540iaT) was named Edmund's Most Wanted Luxury Midsize Sedan in its class, was on Car and Driver's 10 Best List for 2002, was Winner of the 2002 Automobile All-Star Award for Best Luxury Car under $40,000, among many other awards. Car and Driver called the 5-series the world's finest ride. This is a true Touring car (the "T" in the 540iaT nomenclature being BMW's recognition of this prowess) with the largest cargo capacity in its class.
