Stately. Elegant. Timeless. Gorgeous. The E38 7-Series, introduced for the 1995MY and built through the 2001MY, is widely regarded as the peak 7-Series in BMW's history. It is a fantastic long-distance cruiser, and an extremely competent twisty-road bruiser. Out of the various E38 styles produced, the most desirable is arguably the 740i with the Sport Package, or "Sporty Shorty".
Since its introduction it has been my dream car - a 2001 740i, Sport Package, Titanium Silver (a phenomenal color on this body). The lines, its presence, and its appearance in BMW's "The Hire" films and a host of other movies, made me fall in love with the car. So when I came across this fully sorted example, I had to take the plunge. Not only did it check all my boxes, but it was also equipped with the original parking sensors, heated rear seats, Motorola BMW flip phone, and a host of upgrades, including an Alcantara upper interior. I gaze at it, I love it, and can't wait every time to drive it.
