Intro
This Euro BMW 325i M Technic II is a LHD Japanese-market example that shows just 23,200 kilometers (~14,400 miles). It is one of the very few left in the world with such low mileage and is a collector's dream. The car is finished in Diamantschwarz Metallic over an Anthrazit cloth interior and features an optional 25% limited-slip differential (S209A) and an M Sports suspension (S704A). Power comes from a 2.5-liter M20 inline-six mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Originally sold in Japan, this car spent most of its time in storage. It was imported in 2018 with ~10,000 miles on the odometer and purchased by the current owner, who has added ~4,300 miles during summer driving. Immediately after purchase, the owner installed a Getrag 5-speed manual transmission and performed extensive restoration to replace all time-affected components. The vehicle has a clear title and is in Washington state.
Exterior
This Euro 325i is painted in Diamantschwarz Metallic with black Shadowline trim, 14" basket weave alloy wheels, fog lights, quad headlights, and a power antenna. It features the M Technic 2 package, which added front and rear aerodynamic bumpers, a trunk spoiler, and a lower ride height. The body underwent a full strip and repaint due to a peeling clearcoat. The owner replaced time-deteriorated rubber, plastic, and mechanical parts to bring the car back to fully restored condition. Tasteful upgrades, including B8 shocks with matching H&R springs and upgraded brake rotors and pads, were applied to enhance the driving experience.
Interior
The interior is upholstered in Anthrazit cloth with color-coordinated door panels and carpets. It features a period-correct modern electronic radio with Bluetooth connectivity.
Mechanicals
This 325i is powered by a 2.5-liter M20 inline-six engine, now mated to a 5-speed manual transmission (installed by the current owner to replace the original 4-speed automatic). The engine was factory-rated at 194 horsepower.
Summary
This Euro BMW 325i was imported from Japan and purchased by the current owner in 2018. In addition to installing a Getrag 5-speed manual transmission, the owner performed extensive restoration and a few tasteful upgrades to bring the vehicle to impeccable running and visual condition, arguably surpassing its original factory state.
