Intro

1986 BMW 325es (E30) in Zinnoberrot (also known as Cinnabar Red) over Pearl Beige leather interior. The “es” version of the 325 has a high-torque, low-revving "eta" efficiency 2.7-liter inline-six engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. It has the Sport package which added performance upgrades, body enhancements, and luxury interior features like sport seats, a limited-slip differential, and a front air dam. The seller purchased the car from the original owner about 8 years ago and it now shows 81,073 miles. Seller states it has a clean Carfax, clear title and is in Virginia.

Exterior

The exterior is painted in Cinnabar Red with power electric sunroof, front air dam with integrated fog lights, pinstripe, black sport mirrors, rear trunk lid spoiler and chrome exhaust tip in the rear. The seller states the paint is 80% original. It has 14” basket weave alloy wheels wrapped in new 195/65 R14 Vredestein tires. The Sport package added firmer springs, matching shocks, stiffer anti-roll bars and a limited-slip differential (LSD) for improved traction.

Interior

The interior is upholstered in Perl Beige leather with deeply bolstered sport front seats with adjustable thigh extensions to hold you in place during hard turns. Seller states there are no tears in the leather but all seating surfaces show some ageing. It has the M-Technic smaller, thicker leather-wrapped M-Technic sport steering wheel. It has an On-Board Computer (OBC) which is a digital trip computer mounted in the center console to track fuel range and speed. It has Premium Sound which was a factory upgraded sound system with the Sport package.

Mechanicals

The 325es has a 2.7-liter inline-six engine (M20B27), an efficiency-oriented "eta" design, and a low redline factory rated 121 horsepower at 4,250-4,800 rpm and 170 lb-ft torque. It is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. It is current on all maintenance.

For sale is my 1986 325es that I purchased from the original owner. I have owned the car for about 8 years. This is an all original, unmodified car. It retains about 80% of its original paint. It’s been serviced and well maintained and is ready to be driven anywhere. It has 5 new tires, and everything works. The A/C is cold. The radio works but the amplifier in the trunk needs to be replaced. I am getting older and must thin the fleet. I will hate to see this beauty go. California Car cover, extra parts and 2 extra new tires will be included in the sale.
