Intro

This 2015 BMW M235 was modified by iND Distribution as one of their Portfolio Projects typically reserved for their premium clients. Nicknamed “Blue Ice” it has been completely reimagined with a custom-designed widebody kit, a reupholstered interior, upgraded coilover suspension, big brake kit, performance exhaust, an engine tune, limited-slip differential, and more. This M235 was delivered new to iND showing just 9 miles on the odometer and incorporates high-end components from BMW M, Fall Line Motorsport, BMW Performance, BBS Motorsport, KW Motorsport, 3D Design, Gruppe M, and Eisenmann. This uncompromising build was enjoyed by its original owner for the first 4k miles before acquired by the current seller.

Exterior

The iND widebody kit is not the standard aftermarket bolt-on kit that you normally see with exposed seams, bolts, rivets, and panel gaps. iND Distribution designed and fabricated a custom widebody kit from scratch. Every panel and aerodynamic piece are custom designed and molded to flow seamlessly and look like it rolled off the BMW factory production line. The kit includes hand-shaped fender flares inspired by the E46 M3 as well as modified 3D Design carbon fiber spoilers, revised bumpers, a rear diffuser, and custom double-slat kidney grilles. The car is finished in Estoril Blue Metallic and features matching Brembo GT brake calipers with a gold flake to complement the BBS Motorsport E05 wheels. A Macht Schnell stud kit was added for quick wheel changes. Paint protection film has been applied, and there is a new, still in the box front polished carbon fiber splitter, a $2,200 value included with the sale. The car rides on a set of Michelin Pilot Sport tires mounted in 2017 and within the last 10k miles.

Imperfections

Small stone chips on the front splitter and the occasional paint flaking on the rims.

Interior

The cabin was completely stripped by iND and reupholstered piece-by-piece using custom Alcantara and leather with blue stitching as well as BMW’s hexagonal Euro Performance fabric. New performance seats feature Alcantara-wrapped adjustment knobs and backrests as well as illuminated M logos and custom, and blue-webbed safety belts. The iND performance steering wheel is trimmed in carbon fiber and wrapped in perforated Alcantara. Other additions include a customized BMW Performance carbon shift and parking brake handle, a BMW Performance shifter surround, an Awron gauge system, and 3D Design pedals.

Mechanicals

This M235i comes with a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine producing 322 HP and 369 lb.-ft of torque stock. It has been upgraded with a Gruppe M air intake and GSR Tecknik dyno tune as well as a handmade Eisenmann stainless-steel exhaust system and a limited-slip differential. The engine cover was also refinished in wrinkle black with blue accents. Power is sent to the rear wheels through an 8-speed automatic sport transmission. This M235i rides on an upgraded suspension with KW 3-way adjustable coilovers and derives stopping power from a Brembo GT big brake kit. The car has been routinely serviced by authorized BMW technicians.

Summary

This is an iND Distribution Portfolio project car, named project “Blue Ice”, a custom-built, seamlessly integrated widebody M235 with top-of-the-line suspension, brake, engine, differential, and exhaust parts, and a completely custom color-coordinated Alcantara interior. Every time you sit in this car you will know you are sitting in something unique and special. Every time you park it and turn around for that quick glance you will feel the same way. This is a unique M235 that is show and track ready.
