Intro
This is a 1990 BMW 325i sedan with Titanium silver exterior and light blue interior. The engine has about 62,000 miles and the chassis has about 148,000 miles. The undercarriage has been thoroughly media blasted and rezinced several years ago. This is a Texas car that spent winters in a heated garage in Ohio with no visible body rust. It completed very extensive maintenance with lots of new parts as detailed in the Mechanical section. This car has a clear title and is in Steubenville, Ohio
Exterior
This 325i has a sunroof and dual sport mirrors and underwent an extensive $8,000 exterior repaint in 2009. The wheels were also refinished, and powder coated. It has minor body damage on the passenger side front bumper and left front fender as shown in photos.
Interior
The light blue cloth interior is all original and was steam cleaned. All the gauges and power windows work. The driver’s side door card shows a tear in the vinyl and the front seats show some wear and splitting in the seat fabric from age.
Mechanicals
This BMW 325i has the 2.5 Liter Inline 6-cylinder engine with 168 hp and the automatic 4-speed transmission. The seller notes the engine runs very well with strong performance. In May of 2022 seller installed the follow new parts: steering rack, front wheel bearings, brake pads, spark plug wires and spark plugs (iridium plugs), drive belts, and O2 sensors. Recent service includes radiator flushed, engine block flushed, heater core flushed, and new coolant added (Evans waterless coolant, rated for 500,000 miles) transmission flushed, new gasket, new filter, new transmission fluid added, new oil and filter, differential drain and refill with new fluid, new timing belt and water pump, tensioners, guides, springs, and seals. Approximately 3 years ago, seller replaced all hoses, major maintenance II completed, new Bilstein B6 installed, and complete exhaust system from engine back. The seller has added approximately 6,000 miles since then.
Summary
This 1990 BMW 325i has completed extensive service and new OEM parts. It is all documented in 3 folders of maintenance records and receipts about 3-4 inches thick including photos, and original manuals since the car was new. The seller estimates that he has invested over $32,000 since 2009 which makes this e30 a great bargain. The imperfections noted are cosmetic and not mechanical. It is a well sorted BMW that can be enjoyed by another enthusiast.
